My Biscornu

So, I decided that I would try my hand at this biscornu business....and as if I need yet another type of project to get hooked on, it was awesome. Quick and easy, the hardest part was sewing on the button in the center. One of the sites I visited said to do a button on the top and bottom. I think I will try that on my next one. I also found a bunch of scissor fob's , and after fishing my embroidery scissors out of the couch cushions 43 times today, that is next on my project list.

  1. You are absolutely amazing and crazed. Wow-it is beautiful. So, how hard was it to put it together? You can't tell from the picture but it is on the sparkled white fabric right? Are there also scissor fob's that have patterns on line too? Wow-I am impressed, and of course as always, jealous. The Mother

  2. I LOVE it! I bet it looks even better in person if it is on the sparkle fabric... color changing thread? You are so fast at those little guys, very Jealous. Was this a free pattern? The Maiden

  3. When does everyone want to get together for our Cross Stitch weekend? My schedule is wide open, and I have available vacation time! (it's nice having a real job). Should we go to Elko or stay in Vegas? Mother we are at your disposal.

  4. Almost done beading my second mermaid... few more days and I will post! So many projects so little time. I saved the urn last to stitch and now I am regretting it, the fabric is heavy and cumbersome with all those beads. The Maiden.

  5. It is done on the white sparkle fabric that "Holly" was done on, using a watercolors silk varigated (sp?) thread. not bad for a first attempt. It wasn't hard to put together once I got going. And yes, it was a free pattern. Although most of the free patterns I say were very simple and inspried me to create my own...its about half finished (the pattern).

As far as getting together, let me know...i just need about 3 or 4 weeks notice, so I can work out my schedule. We can do it here in Carson or Vegas, either way.

  6. And to get a good picture I had to set it on the floor then crop it. The flash washed out all of the color in all of the closeups I tried to take.

  7. You are creating your own biscornu...you never cease to amaze me. We could potentially do spring break time maybe...that would give me a little more time to hang out in your space. It will be months from now...arrgghh....but let us know, I'm all about coming up to Carson (not Elko Maiden-hee hee). I love you and you have no idea how much I am missing you all. Also, got the first bag done today, the iron on pellon is heavier than what you used so it seems...bulky...pretty, but bulky.
