Love Thy Neighbor

This one is so difficult to photograph with the fabric choice of "Sparrow" is what the pattern called for. I did change the words...but I am thrilled to now have an 09/10 & 11 type sampler in my collection. I can't wait to find the next one for 2012. The Crone. Yeah-another finish.

Updates and finishes

The Maiden suggests that I upload some new starts, but I think my new motto for this summer has to be "The summer of stitch completions." I am happy to add the last two uploads with "completed" round robin projects. This means our first round robin is now done (much longer than expected, but then life has a way of getting in the way some how.) I can not wait to see this one hanging in my house (The Crone)and see the other two (Outrageous Owls-The Maiden/4 Corner Houses-The Mother) have theirs hanging up as well. Maiden-let's take the Owl's in this weekend with the other framing to be done. I might put my new start up, but am not certain as of yet.

Round Robin Completion-finally

This was supposed to be completed months ago...after having a car wreck in February I haven't been able to sit and stitch for so long (great weeping going on here)...but finally am starting to feel like a human being again and finally finished the last round on the Mother's Round Robin. I will be sending this out on Saturday for framing...might be done for your birthday Mother..maybe! Love to all.

International Hermit and Stitch Weekend!

I signed up for my first International Hermit and Stitch Weekend on the Random Ramblings Blog! My poor Dodge Truck was in the shop all weekend and I am finally allowed to begin to stitch again according to my doctor (in moderation) so I thought this was perfect timing. Inspired by my recently acquired Halloween piece, I chose Trick or Treat Fairy by Mirabilia as my focus.

I was not as Hermit Like as I had anticipated (The Crone lent me her car so I was not stranded all weekend), but I did manage to get some progress in. Ah, no rest for the wicked! The Maiden

Page 2 is almost complete on my Heaven and Earth Design "Pretty" by Nene Thomas! The feathers of the mask and the hair are starting to emerge. The following posts are all "pre-hiatus." Hopefully I will be able to stitch again soon! The Maiden.

Mother's Arms

Mother has a face, and the outline of a baby! Stitch by stitch...

The Maiden

Edited to add that a new Mirabilia has been released "Lady Alexandra" there is something about her that I Love!

Trick or Treat

New start anyone? I blame a bought of temporary insanity for this one! Juls was very sweet and spent countless hours looking for this pattern by Mirabilia that was published in a Magazine in 2008. I started the day I received the pattern, but unfortunately all progress was halted for my forced hiatus. 32ct OD Linen "Sparkling Sundown." The Maiden

I am a bad blogger and am too tired to go find the specifics on this piece. I can tell you it is a Quaker sampler called Hope that is stitched on 40ct. The dark silk on the tiny count does produce some mighty strong migraines, so this one has been sidelined for a while. The Maiden.

Here is my new start (it is a sickness) by Ink Circles. I added Ink Circles to my cross stitch bucket list last year and was very excited to find this design. The Maiden

Here is an update on Sabrina by Mirabilia. This photo was taken by it's future owner Kristin. I was concerned by my fabric choice initially, but now I am convinced it is perfect! The Maiden
