Cinnamon Stars by Plum Street Samplers was my 8th and final finish for 2020 and this project was more labor than love! Stitched on 28ct DMC Charles Craft Irish Linen (never again!) that was easy to lose count on and would not hold the stitches nicely I spent 6 days this year finishing up the project.

I had attempted to stitch this from Stash, but frustrated by the DMC conversion provided I broke down and bought the Weeks and Gentle Arts that were called for. The final product is a combination of stash, DMC and called for threads with the farm scenes below omitted. My tastes have changed considerably  over the years and as I struggle to finish WIPs  I often look for ways to tailor them to my current whims.

My WIPs now number 39 larger works mainly on 32ct, which continues to be a challenge. There was some indecision on my part as to what next will grace my bedside table and with hours to go I am still undecided on what to start at Midnight! The Maiden

To the Crone's house we go!

Having time to not only quarantine but survey all my current WIPs now that I am unemployed led me to the doorstep of the Crone for Christmas!

As there are other Rosewood Manor charts I would like to stitch I decided to find a new home for Tulips and the Crone was more than happy to take this project in from the cold!

My morning view...

The Crone was inspired to not only cook non-stop but to pull out old projects for perusal!

I was introduced to the Dutch Baby pancake and now am obsessed!

We also started our first SAL in years! Halloween Ouija by Tiny Modernist.

Great progress for night one, but I am not sure if I can get over my fears enough to continue stitching!

A Banner Day

I stitched on Skull Banner for one night and oh the horror! My stitch count was off by one thread as the fabric is much like stitching in braille- I drag the needle to feel as I cannot see the holes!

I could not locate where the error occurred so the project has gone in a "timeout."

A Single Blessing in 2020

My 7th finish for the year is a highly modified Cricket Collection stitched on 28ct Highland by Picture this Plus in 13 days over 2018, 2019 and 2020. Called for colors were used with the exception of a Waterlilies silk  in Cardinal and CC English Ivy.

I currently have 40 WIPs that, like this project, I feel I have outgrown in some aspects. The majority are on 32ct (my previous preferred fabric) that now is too challenging to stitch on. Others have simply lost their luster. I felt that way about Door Blessing, but was able to convert it to a more vintage feel and now am delighted with it!

Started when I first began house hunting, it seemed fitting that I finish it the year I finally bought a home!

The flower conversion was inspired by the Crone after a conversation last night about black peonies!

A Rose for Isla

This Holiday vacation has seen quite the revival of long languished projects!

Cedar Hill Bouquet for June was stitched as a symbol for my niece, who's middle name is Rose.

Haunted No More

Well... it looks like this project will not make it to Finish Friday! After 5 days of stitching over 2 years I pulled it out today to discover only eyeballs and backstitching remained!

Conversion details are listed below with other pertinent information. I really like using these Happy Planner Sheets to organize my projects!

Viva la Finish!

Stitched in 8 days with at least 8 hours devoted a day I have finished my last Vida just in time for Holiday Giving!

I mainly used the anchor conversion from Stitcher's Paradise in Las Vegas with the exception of the Red Flowers  which I  changed to match Wounded Deer as this will be a triptych. (see below)

Now to get the Crone's project and figure out a finish!

Finish Friday

While scrolling through the blog for my next project (more on that later) I came across a post that was intended to motivate my stitching that I have decided to resurrect for 2021:

Finish Friday!

The photos contained herein are my focus projects...
