Almost complete

Almost done...I just need to add the back, the flaps, and of course a couple of buttons. We are making our own brooms so that we can hang it from our customized broom length. I love it.

Mermaid Madness

Kicking and screaming The Crone made me post works in progress, since I will be a slave to the text book for a while. This Mermaid is all but done, just beads left (about 2 pounds of them). Mother, you know how much I love beading! This project has been waiting for beads for months! This pattern is deceiving, not much to look, but once it was stitch...

Halloween continues...

Yay....something new to add to our favorite blog. The frame is cool that I bought..has little candy corns and such. I have this set in a kit with all the buttons, so if the mother or the maiden wish to do this one I have everything they need. Let me know.

It is called, "Icky and Spooky's Friends". This is done on 32 count carnival and has one specialty stitch along the bottom called Tall Crossed Cross (TCC).

Just checking in...

I am working on another Halloween project (buttons of course). I have ordered your Shepard's Bush mats, so it is just a matter of when they get here. I don't know if we will see much from the maiden for awhile, she is in the throws of Organic Chemistry II to finish up her degree. The Cleveland clinic is paying for her class, what an amazing organization. So, her cross stitching may have to wait for a minute or two.

Buttons and more

I realized when I was at Stitcher's Paradise adding to my button collection for the Halloween project that I have had a love affair with button projects for a very long time. This is my very first piece that I ever attempted on linen...and Oh yes-there are the Mill House ceramic buttons right in the middle. I guess it was meant to be!

Miss our chatter...The Crone

The Lady of the Mist

I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have completed "section 2" and moved on to the final stitching part of my lady. The frame goes around 2 rows down from the end of the ribbon on the left. Oh I can't wait.....then the beading will commence... Hooahh

Tall Seasons

One word describes this piece. Balance. I began one week ago and now post "fall." More to come...

The Maiden

Leaping Cat

It began with a fight over a scrap piece of fabric that ended with 2 projects stitched simultaneously. Stitched on 32 count, 1 over 1.
I dedicate the first one to the latest addition to my four legged family, whose name is stitched within. Lane was found, as you might guess, in between 2 lanes- run over and left for dead. By the time I had put in the last stitch I had a energetic kitten to play with the left over strings.

The second I dedicate to the Crone, the only person to whom I would willing part with one of my projects. Next time you can have the fabric! Just kidding. The Maiden

To All Button Lovers

This is one of the florals from M designs. I embelished with a multitude of buttons and beads. It only called for the three small buttons, but once I saw how great the buttons were I suddenly fell in love with them. You can tell by the two Halloween projects with buttons too...this was the first of 3 which will be a set.

The Halloween Project

This is our first holiday themed project blog.
We decided since we have almost three complete projects done (one for each of us-Mother, Maiden, and Crone) that we would begin with Halloween.

The Crone just finished the top project. It is from Waxing Moon Designs, "Eat, Drink and be Scary"...it's done on hand dyed 32ct linen and the goal was to get it finished this weekend-done.

The second is a kit from Shepherd's Bush. It's called "fright", done with all silks and one embellished button; I got a chance to do some new embroidery stitches on this one It's a super quick project that I finished in 2 days. It has custom matting that has to be ordered to finish it off.

~The Mother

Okay Maiden~ We are waiting for "Spooky Manor"...we aren't sure if that is the name, but we know that you only have the graveyard to finish up. That is your challenge now...tag you are it!
