Sirena Verde è Finita!

That awkward moment when you need to bead the project you were using to avoid beeding another larger Mirabilia!
The fabric is a hand painted belfast 32ct, but I unfortunately cannot find the name. It has a green cast not immediately evident that looks like floating seaweed.
I kitted this Mermaid completely from my stash, so a few beads were substituted to accomodate. Also, I omitted the red coral strands and headress (I felt it would make her look like an angler fish!)

Spooky Stitching (across) States

The Crone started her Halloween Quaker this weekend too! I love that she randomly started at the opposite side, that way we can see a preview of what is to come!
The Mother joined in the fun with a conversion of Mirabilia's Mermaids of the Deep Blue. This was such a fast stitch for me, I know she will fly through this project, which is good because I cannot wait to see them in Orange! The Maiden

Spooky Stitching

October Friday the 13th stitching was so productive and fun I  think I will need to make this a tradition!
I had originally taken the day off for the Las Vegas Mirabilia retreat, and when  that  was  canceled I decided to take a "mental health day." (Can you tell I grew up with counselor parents? When I was young those 3 words would get me out of school no questions asked!)
The Crone and I jumped on the bandwagon and are doing a SAL for the Halloween Quaker, what better day to start it than on Friday the 13th while watching Halloween Classics?!
I did devote a large portion of my day to Mirabilias, beading the kiss and finishing another portion of my Mystery project. The Maiden

Stitching for Strength

As the community continues to heal our needles continue to stitch.

Here is a sneak peak at a mystery halloween Mirabilia project I have devised (with the Crone's help).

A Tail to Tell

Today I post our 42nd update, the largest posting year since 2012. This milestone marks my return to stitching, and a renewal of the art and friendship that  brought the maiden, mother and the Crone together.

This friendship has seen me through the past 2 decades and has been a source of strength I am grateful for today. While I am the only one left in Las Vegas, the Mother is a native and the Crone built her life here. We are devastated by the tragic events of October 1st, a day that has left it's mark on our city. I am heartened by the response of my neighbors, police, first responders, and world community. We are and will remain Vegas Strong!
I spent the night stitching away with The mother, after visiting our LNS and  enjoying a dinner out. We both  resisted the urge to start   something new and as a  consequence I was able to reach the bottom of my Sirena!
I was also fortunate  enough to spend some time over the weekend  with the Crone in St. George, we stitched away in a hotel room and even found Ghastlies Fabric on sale!
I brought some WIPs to show the crone, and she loved my Barbara Ann design so much that she found this gem from the designer I just had to have! I'll be stitching halloween designs for the next year at this rate!
While at the LNS I also picked up parts 2&3 of Something Wicked by Sam Sarah. I avoid charts that come in parts, but I made an exception for this one! The maiden
