Cross Stitch and Key Boards and Carpel Tunnel, Oh My!

So a neurologist has confirmed it (working for a Clinic does have one perk, consult while working) I appear to have Carpel Tunnel. I have not been stitching for about 2 weeks, so in frustration I purchased wrist supports and merrily began to stitch again last night. Big Mistake, my wrists and fore arms were screaming! The doctor recommends NO STITCHING for 3 weeks, an anti inflammatory, and wrist supports while I sleep. I am so frustrated, and all this right before a 3 day weekend!

He also noted that the way I hold my projects, in hand, could be aggravating things. I think I will try a Lap Stand.

Still no Internet, I kinda like being off the grid at home, but I will post previous progress soon! The Maiden

New Blog Added

I just added a blog, "Faries, Dragons and Mermaids oh my!" that focuses on many of the artists we love as well as being a great resource for Designer websites and fabric distributors.

Also, I am not sure I introduced Juls' Blog, "A fairy Princess Dreams and Stitches", but it is an amazing blog that mirrors my own tastes so much it is scary (Juls just spent 4 days searching for a magazine that contained my new start Trick or Treat Fairy, and I am so excited I get to stitch this one)! Mother, there is also some knitting highlighted as well!

So I have my letter S framed and ready to be sent off to Jimmy's mom for mothers day....And a secret project that may end up posted on here on Mothers Day if I don't hurry up. Love You!!!

Sometimes a Girl Needs Kreinik

I have been flitting around on projects lately, not being able to settle on anything for more than a few hours, and finding myself more frustrated than fulfilled by my stitching. The Crone said it was because I was not working on what I was meant to work on (this resonated with me). So I thought really hard about what was missing, and the answer was Kreinik! I do believe this is why I have so many Mermaids, I just have to have Kreinik! Hopefully I will have Internet in a few days and progress pictures will follow.

I have been busy bee. I started Masquerade (Ink Circles) and Goblin Market (gasp!) worked a Little on Hope (until the black silk on 40ct gave me a 2 day migraine), made progress on Sabrina, and for my Kreinik fix.... Mothers Arms! The Maiden

Traveling Crone

You have no idea how much I wish I could join the Crone when she visits you this weekend Mother! I hope between all the festivities you two find time to stitch!

My stitching feels too scattered and unfocused, so last night I pulled out a very old project that has never been posted and unfortunately heard "rippits" for 30 minutes from all the frogging. I Hope I can stick with it until it's completed (that is the only hint you will get, can you guess the project?). I needed a break from Sabrina and Goblin Market, which WILL be completed this year. I will post progress after the weekend. I have been feeling so blah at work that I am toying with the idea of taking tomorrow off and having a long delicious weekend of stitching (I love that I sound like I am 78 instead of 28)! One over One

So I just finished the tartan on my Atlantic Seaboard. Over 2500 stitches of one over one. I am excited at how well it came out for a first timer.
