Maiden WIP

Here is my update for 2010, the crone has graciously helped me upload photo's since I am still without Internet. I have worked relentlessly on Venetian Opulence since May so I figured a post was in order. The Mother is still far ahead (I had no idea how much she had really done until I stitched it), but I am excited to see this piece develop. You were right, I just needed to get past the arch...

The waterlilies silk thread in the tail came out nice, but the gold in the corner started to give me migraines so I switched to Lilac...

I started Lilac at the beginning of this year, I was in a matrimonial mood....

  1. Have you finished Venetian yet? I haven't had a spare 2 minnutes to work on anything since May. She is beautiful though...I cant wait to see her finished.

I stll want to do the cursed mermaid too, however I have a long list of "to-do" projects before I jump on another one.

  2. I am so far from finishing her! you are still ahead, I have been bogged down by the fan and cannot seem to get past it. I have been working on a quilt, so that has been a good break.

The cursed mermaid would be really easy for you, I'm sure you would fly through it. I don't know why, but I have had so many odd problems with this one (at least I would be able to warn you!)

My list of to-do projects is outrageous! My problem is if I see one I want I start it. Then I get nowhere fast, until one day BAM I finish five.

I have had very little time to stitch, work is so stressful and upsetting that I do not have the energy for much else.

Hope you have setteled into the new house! Madien
