Mirabilia-Tree of Hope

I am having a great time with this piece. It is being done on OD linen "Crystal Fresco" 28 count. I do need more practice working with the Waterlilies-I'm not sure how many I have used in the past but they are a major player in this pattern. It is pretty easy so far-started Sunday night and had one complete day off from stitching. It compartmentalizes well so is fairly fun and quick. Miss you guys, The Crone

  2. I cannot believe how far you have come sice you posted! Insomnia has sure been good for your stitching! I'm gald you are experimenting with the waterlilies, I will come to you for advice the next time I work with them.

I have switched to the Spring Queen again after a long stint with Venetian. I decided I would wait until the mother could stitch again before I will go back to Venetian. 40ct is smaller than I remember, but I am really starting to make some peogress on the dress. I'll post in a bit, The Maiden

  3. Give me the exact days again and I will do a BBQ if that is what you want to do. Do you want the whole thundering Testa hoard or just the small nuclear gang? The Maiden and I are talking about coming up this month to see you. When do the kids come down? Speaking of stitching...look up the new Mirabilia for the Tree of Life-I love it.

  4. We will be down Friday August 6th hopefully around noonish (we want to leave early since we have no AC in the yukon). The kids will be coming down this Wednesday (7/21) and be there through August 14th. I was thinkning just the samll nuclear gang..us, you guys (including Joy) and Will's familia. Jimmy and I are going to a concert Saturday night and have a room at the Southpoint (you are still keepiing the boys, right?) And then we are off to California for our pre-wedding honeymoon!!!! Disneyland without kids!! WOOO HOOO.

I started another project today, the police bear, although stitching on black fabric id H-A-R-D!!! It strated making me a little queasy. I can't wait to see how far you guys have come on the plethora of projects, i have made a promise to leave all cross stitching behind on our vacation!!

  6. I found your project under "Tree of Hope". Gorgeous.....did you see the correction on the waterlillies? Should be 244 instead of 224?

  7. OK..I will get the BBQ going. Yes, on the Waterlilies we found the correction while we were actually buying the threads. The one it calls for is a series of beige and we were looking at the pattern..I'm not even sure why, but we figured that out pretty quick. I would have been ticked if we hadn't because it would totally have not worked in the leaves, they are hard enough with the correct number. Anyway, yes I have you down for August 6th and yes we will keep the boys no problem. I miss you.
