Unusual Suspects

The mother has joined me in Diamond Painting! She was gifted with this "unusual specimen" from Heaven and Earth Designs and has already made amazing progress!
Here is the first page and a half.
The mother is so fast I had to edit this newly formed post to update everyone on her progress!

Ciao Bello

My first finish in years, Mother's Love by Lanarte. Stitched on 32ct, hand painted fabric (the mottling does not show up very well, but the fabric was selected to replace the background in the original design)

This project was very personal for me as I have not transitioned from the Maiden to the Mother, but as I have so often said we do not choose the project, it chooses us. It calls to us.

The Mother's Mandalas

I have mentioned that while we were absent our needles were threaded and none were more busy than the Mother's. Four Chatelaine's have weaved in and out of our conversations throughout the years with more being planned as I speak.

Holland Mandala stitched on white linen

Scotland Mandala stitched on PTP Crystal Helix

Lastly, here is a quick peak of the Mandala that is almost complete. Can you guess which one it is?

Wennies Revisited!

You may recall my Halloweenies, this project will continue the tradition of holiday box finishes!

The plan will be to stitch these weenies twice, but not until I finish my current project... The Maiden

A Project Years in the Making...

This project has appeared but once on this blog, and is one I was not sure I would ever be able to come back to.

I used to be prolific, rivaling the Mother in speed and productivity. Then I was in a car accident and have struggled to find my way back to the needle ever since. This past weekend I decided I would push through the pain, ignoring what my body said to once again see what I could create with these hands.

The idea was to pick a Mirabilia, one that was near completion. Instead, I picked a project in it's infancy. The Maiden

Opportunity Knocks

The long weekend has allowed me to settle into my new rented townhome! All boxes are unpacked (albeit reluctantly, this has been far from an easy move) and I made this wreath from a cross stitch hoop and the Magnolia Bouquet from Walmart.

All materials cost a total of $6! The Maiden
