Pop of Poppy

While searching the blog into the wee hours of the morning with the Mother for a project that would hold my attention I realized I had several that have never been posted! My plan is to get them up over the next week and in that spirit I present Poppy!

I abandoned this project after one day (the wings were harder to remove than anticipated and the fabric while PERFECT is a difficult stitch due to a tight weave), but I fully intend to return to her someday. Hopefully this post will serve as a reminder! The Maiden

Night Creatures

The Mother and I have truly become night creatures! In the spirit of this I decided to pick up one of my oldest and neglected projects entitled "Night Creatures" by the gathering place.

Crone's House CrossStitch

 The Crone has been very ill for the past several months and since she was on Spring Break I decided to visit her this weekend! The past few days were filled with fun projects, great food and of course Cross Stitch!

 Above is an Herb Garden  I planted during my visit and this little guy is her dog "Bubba" (he is an honorary cat). 

 I have been struggling with Undine and after several trips to the LNS decided to go a VERY different direction... here is a sneak peak of what the Crone and I devised!

I also received Vintage DMC's (I kind of just want to roll in them)! The dye lots are truly so different and are great for older patterns!

 Her internet access is limited so I took pictures of what she has been working on, this cute Carriage House!  Stitched on 32ct OD linen "Legacy."

Now we must plan a trip to see The Mother!

Eight Armed Woman!

 Here is a quick update on our Ella's, we both randomly decided to start on the arms this go round and have been cursing this decision ever since!

None more than the mother, who is doing the skin one over one!
